About
Amber is a born and raised Floridian. Growing up with wetlands for a backyard shaped her love of nature, ecosystems and animals. Amber lets her passion for conservation shine in her second children’s book solely written and drawn by her, “The Search for the Right Whale”, featuring the endangered North Atlantic Right Whale with less than 350 remaining. After learning about these beautiful creatures who cross into Florida waters yearly to calve, Amber realized other Floridians may have never heard of the whales. This book will show future generations of kids - in Florida and beyond - our duty to protect these endangered creatures for the future.
Her artwork can be found in 10 children’s books. Amber combines digital editing technology and bright overlays to bring a modern look to her traditionally done watercolor on cotton paper paintings. Amber’s love of the watercolor medium comes through in her work, showcasing the granulating textures and organic, unpredictable nature of the paint.
Amber’s goal is to take children and parents alike on wonderful journeys that inspire through vibrant color coupled with sentimental stories. Books that will spark a passion for reading, art and a lifelong love of learning about the planet we call home.
